2. Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA/PAT) Product Overview
Purified Terephthalic Acid (Purified Terephthalic Acid, abbreviated as PTA or PAT), chemical formula C₈H₆O₄, is a key bulk organic chemical raw material. It appears as a white crystalline powder with a purity typically ≥99.5%. As the core monomer for polyester (PET) production, it is widely used in manufacturing polyester fiber, bottle-grade PET, and polyester film.
